The Circle Of Life

The Circle of life is Sanjay Sista’s memoir spanning the first 37yrs of his life. It is his objective attempt at documenting his journey from complex childhood trauma to complex PTSD, its aftermath and beyond. With honesty, courage, and humour, he narrates the highly intense and traumatic events of his life just as effortlessly as he describes the lighter, fun-filled ones. Sanjay beautifully ties his realisations with eastern philosophical teachings and key scientific findings of the 20th century, taking the reader on a journey that comes around full circle, leaving the reader with profound and highly relevant realisations. This book is an essential read for anyone dealing with c-PTSD or childhood trauma, as it provides a refreshingly new perspective on how one can potentially deal with it, culminating in a masterstroke that helped Sanjay cure himself. Besides, it has the potential to help those who care for such people and have a desire to develop a deeper understanding of the situation and how they can support the victim. Finally, it is a phenomenal read for anyone interested in/ is on the journey of experiencing the celebration of life, its ups and downs, and the deeper questions it presents, through an emotional, social, scientific and philosophical lens.

THE INVISIBLE GIRL

You can read my full story here, from when I was ten years old and what happened to me. I was admitted to a psychiatric unit at fifteen and continued to suffer throughout my adult life with feelings of self-hatred, fear, darkness and not knowing who I was. I used addictions to help me to cope on the outside when the inside was chaotic. I finally found my healing and had a burning desire to share this with the universe to give love, hope and inspiration to others in pain.

Don’t tell me the moon is shining; show me the glint of light on broken glass
